The Guess Who

Who Are We.

I’m 2nd Generation American

My Grandparents Immigrated Here.

All Of Us Trace Back…

To Somewhere Else…

Who Are We.

We Are Descendants of Immigrants.

That’s Who.

Is this who we are…

…Is this what we have evolved to the indiscriminate rounding up, basically the kidnapping of human beings and locking them up.

They got to go, those who don’t look like us, those who don’t talk like us, those who worship differently than us, don’t dress like us…

…don’t…

…don’t…

…don’t.

They ain’t us…

…gotta go…

…all of them…

…OUT!

Matthew 25:40

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.

Full disclosure, I am not religious, follow no faith or belief, do not read the scripture snippets sent my way, do not believe in any Gods, or heaven or hell.  I have never quoted the bible ever, except this one time, never read it, don’t care to.

But I know many of you do, I know that many of you are religious, are believers in Jesus Christ, regularly read the bible, Christian schools and Sunday Mass.

And that’s where my confusion lies.

How come you don’t follow the teachings in the bible as it pertains to: “The Least of…” and the Sojourners (aka immigrants).  Especially the words of Christ who speaks of kindness and caring about immigrants and criminals.

Christ cared about them, said what you do to them you do to him.

TO HIM.

So I’ve read what you read bible-wise, read in depth what Jesus is alleged to have said about the Sojourner (Immigrants/travelers) and how they should be welcomed and treated with kindness and caring.

The question I’m searching for is simple: For those of you who believe in Jesus and quote the scriptures how do you square how it says you should act while at the same time being for people in masks basically kidnapping Sojourners and locking them up in cages in the middle of the everglades.

Q & A @thepearlygates: What if entrance to heaven is based on one question…

This:

“You condoned the persecution of the Sojourners in your country, those immigrants, men, women and children, you supported what was being done to them the least of which will be done to me.  What Say You.”

And so an albeit casual reading of the bible by a skeptic like myself one fact jumped out at me, Jesus was on the side of immigrants, at the very least said that how you treat them is how you would treat him.  If I were to believe what I read, let’s say I do believe for the sake of an argument…I think those of you who support the kidnapping and locking up men, women and children in cages in the swamps of the Everglades, most of whom have never been charged or convicted of any crime…
